Michelle Cotton has been appointed head of programme at MUDAM, Luxembourg. The British curator is to join the museum from Bonner Kunstverein, where she has been director since 2015. There, her programme included solo shows for Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Banu Cennetoğlu, Ella Kruglyanskaya, Oliver Osborne, Nick Relph, Amanda Ross-Ho, Josh Smith, Hayley Tompkins, Fredrik Værslev and Guan Xiao, as well as a 2016 retrospective of the idiosyncratic work of late Dutch artist Wim T. Schippers and a 2017 largescale thematic exhibition titled The Policeman’s Beard is Half Constructed: Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. Previously Cotton was senior curator at Firstsite, Colchester in the east of England.

In January last year the Australian Suzanne Cotter curator joined MUDAM as director. Opening in the Grand Dutchy's Park Draï Eechelen in 2006, the museum houses a sizeable collection over three floors. Recent exhibitions include solos for Nairy Baghramian and Jutta Koether.
