2015 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion to be a series of colourful cocoons

2015 Serpentine Pavilion, design by SelgasCano

Plans for this year's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion (the fifteenth annual commission), designed by Spanish architects SelgasCano have revealed that it will be created using a double-layered shell, made of opaque and translucent fluorine-based plastic, giving it the appearance of a series of irregular, multicoloured cocoons.

The Pavilion, which will be open from 25 June – 18 October, traditionally operates throughout the summer and autumn as a café space and a venue for events.
