Photo: Hanna Neander / LWL</figcaption></figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first artists and locations have been announced for the fifth edition of Skulptur Projekte Münster, under the artistic direction of <a href=\"https://artreview.com/what-how-for-whom-to-direct-skulptur-projekte-munster-2027/\">Ivet Ćurlin, Nataša Ilić and Sabina Sabolović</a> – founding members of curatorial collective What, How &amp; for Whom (WHW). The edition will run from 13 June to 3 October 2027.</p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 1977 by Klaus Bußmann and Kasper König, Skulptur Projekte takes place every ten years in the city of Münster. Prior to WHW, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https://artreview.com/kasper-konig-german-curator-and-founder-of-skulptur-projekte-munster-1943-2024/\" target=\"_blank\">König, who died in 2024</a>, had served as its long-term artistic director. WHW’s appointment will make 2027 the first women-led edition.</p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artists and corresponding locations for their works announced so far include:</p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https://artreview.com/jan-feb-2017-future-great-iza-tarasewicz/\">Iza Tarasewicz</a></strong> (b.1981, Białystok, Poland) at Gut Kinderhaus, a residential area catering for various disabilities and a former farm<br><strong><a href=\"https://artreview.com/hew-lockes-quiet-radicalism/\">Hew Locke</a></strong> (b.1959, Edinburgh, UK) at Haus der Niederlande im Krameramtshaus, the site of the peace treaty negotiations between the Netherlands and Spain, ending the Eighty Years’ War in 1648<br><strong><a href=\"https://artreview.com/how-selma-selman-spotlights-roma-history-eremire-krasniqi/\">Selma Selman</a></strong> (b.1991, Bihać, Bosnia) at the former Hörster Friedhof, a nineteenth-century cemetery<br><strong>Róza El-Hassan</strong> (b.1966, Budapest, Hungary) at both the Botanical Garden behind the Baroque Schloss and in the 1960s-build residential district of Berg Fidel<br><strong><a href=\"https://artreview.com/oscar-murillo-the-flooded-garden-tate-modern-review-louise-benson/\">Oscar Murillo</a> </strong>(b.1986, La Paila, Colombia) at the former York-Kaserne, now a Central Accommodation Facility for refugees awaiting processing</p>\n\n\n\n<p>“We are interested in exploring how open and accessible the city is to different people and perspectives.
