The inaugural edition of the Bienal de Yucatán, led by Abraham Cruzvillegas, will be titled VOCAL. It will take place from 26 November 2026 to 28 February 2027 across 16 venues in Mérida and Maní.
\n\n\n\n‘This international exhibition will focus primarily on tongue, languages, idioms, the written, the spoken, and what needs to be said,’ said Cruzvillegas in a statement. ‘The works and individuals participating in this renewed version of the Bienal de Yucatán will make it one of inclusion and diversity, of languages and idioms that engage in dialogue and contradict one another.’
