Maria Lind, director of the graduate program at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard, has scads of experience to impart to the curators of tomorrow, having been director of Swedish studio programme IASPIS, director of the Munich Kunstverein, cocurator of Manifesta 2 and curator at Moderna Museet, Stockholm. This year she received the Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement and oversaw an outstanding programme of exhibitions (and attendant catalogues) at Bard’s Hessel Museum, including The Greenroom, a survey of the documentary in contemporary art, and Rachel Harrison’s Consider the Lobster retrospective, during which artists including Allen Ruppersberg and Andrea Zittel were invited to collaborate with Harrison in rehanging the Marieluise Hessel Collection.
