Digital Editor, ArtReview & ArtReview Asia


The Digital Editor is responsible for growing traffic and engagement and creating content across artreview.com as well as the brand’s other social and digital platforms. They will be expected to work with across the commercial and editorial teams to formulate a coherent digital strategy for the brand.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support editorial and commercial teams by developing revenue-generating digital strategy across all platforms
  • Work as integrated part of editorial team with responsibility for managing and upskilling its members in digital content production
  • Working with the senior editorial team to ensure that all content on artreview.com adheres to brand guidelines
  • Working with in-house and external writers and other content producers to ensure publication of website content on deadline and within budget
  • Maintaining web archive and managing upload of content using in-house CMS
  • Set goals for engagement, traffic, conversion and time-on-page, and work with wider editorial team to meet them
  • Produce weekly digital progress reports
  • Developing creative new ideas and formats for online content
  • Work with team to manage social media as part of wider digital strategy, ensuring regular posts and coordinating coverage
  • Meet weekly content targets as agreed with senior editorial team: covering social media posts, online exclusive content, etc
  • Overseeing the creation of content for the newsletter and growing its audience and engagement

Skills and qualifications:

  • Background in digital publishing
  • Experience in reading analytics and building data-driven, commercially astute digital strategies
  • Good organisational skills, self-supervising, ability to delegate tasks effectively

Location: London, UK
Requirement: full time / five days per week
Salary dependent on experience

Media Sales Executive Asia, ArtReview & ArtReview Asia

ArtReview / ArtReview Asia is looking for a confident and experienced Media Sales Executive based in Shanghai or Greater China, to cover sales in China and across Asia.


Primary responsibilities:

  • Maintains relationships with commercial and institutional clients by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Sells print and online products by establishing contact and developing relationships with potential partners
  • Represents the company to key stakeholders in the art industry and at national and international art events
  • Creates business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; autonomously researches and analyses sales options
  • Oversees contract administration of key partners
  • Prepares reports for the Publisher by collecting, analysing, and summarising information
  • Maintains professional knowledge and networks by regularly attending art events (including evenings and weekends); reviews competitor publications; establishes personal networks and participates in professional societies
  • Development and execution of ArtReview talks and networking events & collaborative events with brand partners 

Skills and qualifications:

Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential, as is a willingness to travel. The successful candidate will have excellent presentation skills, an ability to manage client relationships and a good knowledge of Asia’s art markets. They will also be experienced in negotiation, prospecting, and meeting sales targets, as well as demonstrating creativity, an aptitude for planning, and an ability to work independently
