FAQ

What is ArtReview?

Founded in 1949, ArtReview is one of the world’s leading international contemporary art magazines, dedicated to expanding contemporary art’s audience and reach. Aimed at both a specialist and a general audience, the magazine and its sibling publication, ArtReview Asia (launched in 2013), feature a mixture of criticism, reviews, commentary and analysis alongside commissioned artist projects, guides and special supplements.

Artreview's website artreview.com features a mix of art news, articles from the latest and recent issues of ArtReview and ArtReview Asia magazines, exclusive web-only content, artist projects, highlights from 65 years of issues from the ArtReview archive, and multimedia content from around the web. artreview.com also contains The Magazine Online, the archive of all digital editions of ArtReview and ArtReview Asia from 2006 to the latest edition and dedicated Power 100 pages charting ArtReview's annual ranked list of the contemporary artworld's most powerful players, from its initiation in 2002, to the current year.

What is the digital edition?

The digital magazine is a full, readable PDF version of the printed edition, accessible via the The Magazine Online section of artreview.com.

How often is ArtReview published?

ArtReview publishes nine issues a year, including two dedicated to particular areas of focus: the Power 100 in the November issue and FutureGreats at the beginning of the year. It is distributed throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia. ArtReview Asia publishes four issues a year and is distributed throughout the region and in selected outlets elsewhere.
