Art Everywhere, which promotes British art through displaying artworks on poster sites, bus stops and billboards throughout the UK, is to launch its second edition
Starting 3 June 2014 and for a three-week period, the public will be able to vote for their favourite from a longlist of 70 British artworks dating from the 1500s to today, coming from the nation’s public collections. Artists Grayson Perry and Antony Gormley will reveal the top 25 works chosen on 16 July. In addition to being displayed on tens of thousands of poster sites, from 21 July to 31 August, the works can be seen in a film showning until the end of August, in over 1,000 cinemas.
The public can also participate through crowd-funding with donations going to help fund the printing costs. Rewards for donations include postcard sets and posters, depending on the amount of the donation.
