Former Singapore Art Museum director Tan Boon Hui has been appointed director of the Asia Society Museum in New York, as well as the Society’s vice-president for Global Arts and Cultural Programmes.
Tan, who is currently assistant chief executive for museums and programmes at Singapore’s National Heritage Board, was one of the project directors of the 2013 Singapore Biennale, and most recently led the Singapour en France festival that ran from March to June.
He will take up the New York-based position in December
