Sotheby’s will open a new private sales space at the back of their Bond Street premises on 10 October with a five-week show of works by Joseph Beuys, Bloomberg have reported. The pieces comprise 12 works on paper and a bronze sculpture, from 1947 to 1966. All the works have been consigned by a private European collector, who bought from Beuys’s first exhibitions at Galerie Alfred Schmela in Dusseldorf. Prices for the drawings will range from £70,000 to £200,000.
