The Zabludowicz Collection, which has been running a project space at 176 Prince of Wales Road in North London since 2007, has announced this morning that the space will close as the collection plans to expand its international reach. Founders Anita and Poju Zabludowicz said: ‘When we set up a project space for the Zabludowicz Collection over 15 years ago, our goal was to create a supportive environment for artists, to share our collection as widely as possible, and to provide a free, diverse programme for the benefit of the public.’ The statement also reflects how institutional programming has in recent years become ‘more inclusive’ of early-career artists, which has prompted them to reflect on the focus of the Zabludowicz Collection. ‘As we look to expand access to the Collection, we have made the decision to close the project space at 176 Prince of Wales Road,’ they explain, ‘which very sadly means the team will be significantly reduced in size.’

The space will close to the public at the end of the current exhibition, All Crescendo, No Reward, on 17 December 2023. The Zabludowicz Collection will then ‘concentrate on increasing loans of artworks to institutions and extending our digital presence and offer.’
