Guy and Myriam Ullens are perhaps the most prominent and dedicated Western collectors of Chinese contemporary art. This summer, to coincide with the Beijing Olympics, their Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (which opened last November with a glamorous party attended by several people on this list), housed in a former munitions factory in the 798 gallery district and now headed by charismatic former Palais de Tokyo and BALTIC Centre director Jérôme Sans, hosted Our Future, a survey of work from the collection, as part of their ongoing mission to act as a portal between artworlds East and West.
