
Converge 45, a city-wide triennial based in Portland, Oregon, has announced the title and list of participating artists for its 2026 edition. For its 10th edition the event, titled Here, To you, Now, will unfold across 16 venues, from 27 – 30 August.
Here, To you, Now, curated by Lumi Tan, takes inspiration from the late Ursula K. Le Guin’s 1985 sci-fi novel Always Coming Home. The book tells the story of ‘the Kesh people’ who, having survived an ecological catastrophe, created a culture prioritising the impermanence of spoken words and the constant remaking of meanings in the moment. Here, To you, Now derives from a phrase in the novel, and likewise emphases the unfixed, spontaneous nature of dialogue and community making.
