Lisa Havilah steps aside as CEO of Powerhouse Parramatta ahead of its opening

Lisa Havilah has stepped aside as chief executive of Powerhouse Parramatta, Western Sydney, ‘following new allegations’ and ‘while investigations into governance and procurement are finalised’, the Ministry for the Arts of the government of New South Wales (NSW) has announced.

Abbie Galvin, the current NSW ‘Government Architect’ has been named interim chief executive and Louise Herron, the former chief executive of the Sydney Opera House, will act as strategic advisor.

The new museum is still set to open on 7 November.
