Three paintings, with a collective estimated insurance value of £10 million, have been stolen from an art gallery at Oxford University’s Christ Church college over the weekend. Annibale Carracci’s A Boy Drinking (c.1850), Salvator Rosa’s A Rocky Coast, with Soldiers studying a Plan (c.1640) and Anthony Van Dyck’s A Soldier On Horseback (c.1616) were taken from the picture gallery before midnight on 14 March.

Officials at Christ Church posted a message on their website stating that the investigation is currently active and appealed to the public for any information regarding the burglary. The gallery will remain closed until further notice.
