Salon 94 opened in 2002 on the ground floor of owner Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn’s uptown home, its refreshingly throwback (if unavoidably posh) quality soon inviting comparisons between Rohatyn, Gertrude and Peggy. The gallery’s recent addition of a Lower East Side annex, in the shadows of the resurgent New Museum, shows Rohatyn can also run with the pack, as have the recent solo outings of Katy Grannan, Huma Bhabha and Amy Bessone.
