A two-stage crowdfunding scheme is underway to fund a new, open submission, London sculpture walk, called The Line. The walk, which broadly follows the line of the Greenwich Meridian from Stratford to North Greenwich, will feature up to 30 existing modern and contemporary works, suited to long-term outdoor exhibition, which will be on loan for the project’s planned three-year duration, from the summer of 2014, if the necessary funds are raised.
The project has been initiated by founder of The Piper Gallery, Megan Piper and urban regeneration expert Clive Dutton, with additional input from Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Wallinger, who will also sit on the selection panel.
Online submission forms will be live from 5th February 2014, with a deadline of 14 March.
