Nnena Kalu, Rene Matić, Mohammed Sami and Zadie Xa have been shortlisted for the Turner Prize. The biggest award for British or British-based artists, nominees are selected by a four-strong jury for an exhibition, exhibited work or project from the last twelve months.
The members of this year’s jury are Andrew Bonacina, independent curator; Sam Lackey, director, Liverpool Biennial; Priyesh Mistry, associate curator of Modern and Contemporary Projects, The National Gallery and Habda Rashid, senior curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Fitzwilliam Museum, chaired by director of Tate Britain Alex Farquharson.
The shortlist exhibition will be held at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery in Bradford from 27 September 2025 to 22 February 2026, part of a system in which the exhibition of shortlisted artists alternate between Tate Britain and a public institution outside London. The winner will be announced on 9 December at an award ceremony in Bradford. They will receive £25,000, with £10,000 awarded to the other shortlisted artists.
