This year, as it seems in almost every one of the past several years, photographer Jeff Wall has been everywhere, with both a solo show at White Cube’s Mason’s Yard and Jeff Wall: Exposure at the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin, while, having started at MoMA, his travelling retrospective Jeff Wall: In His Own Words, checked into San Francisco’s MOMA. Back in Vancouver, the artist himself picked up the $30,000 Audain Prize – British Columbia’s most prestigious art award – for lifetime achievement and remains one of the most innovative and influential photographers around.
