Watch members of the ART OnO community reflect on the inaugural edition of the Korean art fair
This April saw the inaugural edition of ART OnO, a new art fair and dynamic platform that bridges emerging and established artists, galleries, and collectors alike. ART OnO aims to navigate the Korean art market into the coming era by satisfying the needs of discerning art galleries, institutions, collectors, and enthusiasts.
ART OnO assiduously explored the finest contemporary gallery programs worldwide in preparation for its inaugural edition, which featured presentations by approximately 40 galleries. Both local and international in scope, these galleries have been selected by invitation, with many coming to Seoul for the first time.
Alongside the fair, a series of interactive onsite programs served as a forum for the exchange of ideas and exploration of topics germane to the contemporary art scene. As such, curated special exhibitions, special talks and lectures unite artists, galleries and visitors as one interlinked community. Selected museum partners also organized one-off visits and collateral events to strengthen relationships between galleries and collectors alike.
ART OnO strives to attract prominent art collectors from around the world. VIP visitors to the fair immersed themselves in tailored artistic excursions in Seoul, including scheduled visits to local galleries, museums, artist studios and private collections, as well as various K-culture experiences. A diverse array of Seoul-based art intuitions and private collections opened their doors to visitors within the framework of extraordinary private tours and events.
