Luke Silva, emerging British artist, 1999–2024

Luke Silva, whose work ruminates on the turbulence of the world, has died aged 25, his gallery Sherbet Green announced.

‘We are deeply saddened to share the news of Luke Silva’s passing,’ the gallery writes. ‘Luke’s kindness, incredible talent, and unique vision left an indelible mark on the world. Our deepest sympathies are with his family and friends, and all who were touched by his work. His legacy will continue to inspire us all.’

Silva received his BA in Fine Art from Central St Martin’s School of Art, University of the Arts London in 2021. His solo exhibition Interface was on show at Sherbet Green from 5 April – 25 May 2024.
