Autotelic Foundation launches with a project exploring the impact of new technologies on culture

Autotelic Foundation, the UK-based charity dedicated to championing artistic creation and debate at the intersection of art and technology, launched last week under the directorship of the international curator Nadim Samman. Previously known as Blessed Foundation, Autotelic Foundation enters a new chapter with an expanded vision and ambition.

The Foundation explores the creative potential of emerging technologies, through new commissions, partnerships, publishing and education. Through supporting ambitious work by established and emerging voices, Autotelic Foundation is building a platform where interdisciplinary ideas can thrive.

Autotelic Foundation has also been announced as the Key Partner of Vienna Digital Cultures Festival 2025, curated by Nadim Samman. Presented by Kunsthalle Wien and FOTO ARSENAL WIEN, the festival explores how new technologies impact culture. The festival’s inaugural theme, ‘Model Collapse’, addresses the breakdown of established political, economic, ecological, and intellectual systems in the context of technological acceleration, particularly Artificial Intelligence. Artists, scholars, and technologists will come together from 5-18 May 2025 to engage with these profound shifts.
